This is an absolute must for children living in Marseille. Right in the middle of the Panier district, it is a museum/exhibition space designed specially for children. The centre organises two or three exhibitions each year, in partnership with the museums of Marseille. In each exhibition children see a dozen or so works, enabling them to discover art at the same time as their heritage (the room itself is magnificent). Education and pleasure shoulder to shoulder. Everything is child-orientated. In summer, the exhibitions include a greater element of play, such as surveys or questionnaires to complete. Advance bookings only during term-time. Actually, it's "Orientr tapis volant".
