Little boys and their dads really mustn’t miss this! The Musée de l’Empéri is a military museum, some of whose exhibits are from a private collection. Housed in the Château de l’Empéri, it focuses particularly on the history of the French army uniform, from Louis XIV to the First World War. What is there for children? Lots: lead soldiers, life-sized models of soldiers and horses, medals from every era, a fire-arms exhibition, uniforms etc. The visit starts with a meeting with the mounted soldiers… It all makes for a very enjoyable visit. Admission free for the under-sevens.
