Salon de Provence is the perfect base for visiting Provence: half an hour from the Luberon, the Alpilles, Avignon, Aix en Provence, the Camargue and the ‘calanques’ (creeks). Nice starting point for walks and bike-rides too.

The Tourist Office organises "strolls" in spring and summer to see the town’s architectural and historic treasures or find out about its specialities such as olive-oil production, Marseilles soap, farming in the area known as «La Crau».
