I,500 acre estate alongside a vast saltwater lagoon, Etang de Vaccares. If you spend a whole day there you’ll really feel you know what the Camargue is all about! Free access to nature trail: themed 2km family trail with explanatory signs. Horse-riding or pony trekking for over 7s. If you are not a novice, you can go on a 2 hour guided trek (our advice: if you go in the morning you’ll see more animals and the countryside looks even more beautiful than in the afternoon!). For younger children there are pony rides. Little train: half-hour guided tour on the picturesque banks of the lagoon. Plus points: the three different ways of getting to know the area are in different parts of the estate, so you’re never going back over the same ground and you never see the same thing twice.
