Not just a beautiful town but also a great base for visiting the Alpilles or the Camargue. Arles is also a city big on tradition, with plenty of festivals for all the family.

The aim of this organisation is to make nature accessible to all, which is why it has created a number of family nature trails, access to some of which is completely free. Two flagship family activities are: « le sentier des cabanes », a 500 metre aerial walkway through the reeds, the woods and the water; « le sentier des cabanes », educational-but-fun trail suitable for families with young children and not-so-young grandparents! Halts every now and again to explore/learn whilst having fun. The organisation provides a booklet with games, explanations etc. Horse-drawn carriage trips to the conservation areas run 4 times a day in season and enable you to visit the natural habitat and watch the animals (all sorts of birds, bulls, horses etc.) Our advice: it’s better to do this trip in the morning if you want to avoid the mosquitos. Organic food available on site.
