This is an absolute must for children living in Marseille. Right in the middle of the Panier district, this is a museum/exhibition space designed specially for children. The centre organises two or three exhibitions each year, in partnership with the museums of Marseille. In each exhibition children see a dozen or so works, enabling them to discover art at the same time as their heritage (the room itself is magnificent). Education and pleasure shoulder to shoulder. Everything is child-orientated. In summer, the exhibitions include a greater element of play, such as surveys or questionnaires to complete. Don’t miss the next one, July 16th – September 6th, whose theme is «celle qu’on porte à deux» («She is carried by two people»)…. Your children will have to turn detective and find the trail that leads to her...but just who is this «She»???? Advance bookings only during term-time.
