Salin de Giraud
Little village in the middle of nowhere; any further on and there’s nothing but marshland and the sea… great place for tourists. Salin de Giraud was actually created by a salt manufacturer in the 19th century.

The estate has 3 nature trails with themed explanatory signs and hides. This is in fact the only area left in the Camargue that has not been dyked, so it is the only place where you can see Camargue scenery, flora and fauna in its natural state, unaltered by man. On one side you have the marshes, on the other the river Rhone. One of the trails can be managed with a pushchair. No dogs or bikes.
