Salon de Provence is the perfect base for visiting Provence: half an hour from the Luberon, the Alpilles, Avignon, Aix en Provence, the Camargue and the ‘calanques’ (creeks). Nice starting point for walks and bike-rides too.

Accrobranche park (treetop trails) close to the fitness trail. From age 3 but it’s probably better to wait till they’re a little older because at 3 they’re still a bit young to do up and undo the clasps by themselves. Lovely surroundings, in the shade of the pine-trees. Various trails available for children. Our advice: in season, try and avoid weekends because they are full of parties from local leisure centres. Other activities available on site, e.g. pony rides. Birthday treats can be organised too with treasure hunt etc.

nous l'avons fait en famille. Les enfants 13 et 12 ans étaient ravis tout comme leur papa. J'étais enceinte, je les ai donc regardés et j'ai bouquiné au frais sous les pins. Nous sommes arrivés dès l'ouverture et heureusement car il y avait beacoup de monde. Nous retournons en provence cet été et les enfants veulent absolument recommencer avec le but de faire la piste noire car ils étaient trop petits l'année dernière.
