Shire Horse Day. Family fun day with ploughing and harnessing competitions and a big picnic.

Decorated horse and cart, in honour of St. Eloi, patron saint of goldsmiths but also of blacksmiths, which is why he has a festival here. Since the 15th century, the festival has included the blessing of a cart decorated with wheat, oats, charcoal and thistles, in honour of local farming tradition. Gardians, traditional costume and dance enthusiasts, funfair, Camargue (bloodless) bullfights (sometimes called «Rosette Races»).

All the tourism and culture info you need about the area. 11 cours Carnot, Châteaurenard. Open Monday to Saturday 9am – 12pm and 2pm – 5.45pm. In July and August the Tourist Office is also open on Sunday mornings, 10am – 12pm.

Traditional Market
Every Sunday morning, in the town centre, you will find fruit and vegetables, crafts, flowers, fish, cheese and second-hand clothes.
